Nov 27, 2011 my chickens eat whole corn to just make sure they have grit. ok now if ya want to crack it heres a simple deal i use to do for crushing grains for making beer. get ya a plastic bag- fill with grain and put it on a peice of plywood out in the driveway. put another peice of plywood over that. now just drive over it a few times with a car. its a v-8 grain mill.

A good old corn grinder will run around $100 and up, but we sold one a few weeks ago that had all three burrs and only brought $35.00 because the stand was broken. It still worked and a good welder could have fixed the stand for a few bucks. Just an idea..

I picked mine up at a auction at a deal because the clamp was broken off the front which affected its Antique value-----1 C clamp and 2 minutes later I was grinding corn.
